Certificate III in Security Operations Units of Competency

For most of the adult population, it’s difficult to avoid the question of finding employment. There are many career paths available in Queensland that one can take up after participating in required training. The security industry is one such career path. There are training courses that provide the opportunity to pursue managerial positions within the industry if one chooses to gain employment in that role.

The Certificate III in Security Operations training is one such course. This course provides training for persons who are looking to work in the security industry, not just as personnel or officers but also as managers or supervisors.

The course training is available through Registered Training Organisations or RTOs. These RTOs can be found throughout the Queensland state in various locations. They also provide training through different delivery methods, such as online lectures and face-to-face classes. These delivery methods are intended to help students find the most convenient learning options that best suits them.

There are requirements for the course. One such condition is for the student to be at least eighteen years old at the time of their enrollment. They must also be an Australian citizen or a permanent resident to the country.

If the enrollee is neither of these, some RTOs accept students who are staying in the country on student visas that permit them to have work hours during their stay. These RTOs must be registered with the CRICOS, however, to accept enrollees on student visas. Check with the CRICOS online registry to see which RTOs in your area are CRICOS-affiliated.

These are the competencies of the Certificate III training course. Outlined below are the units and what to expect from their related training.
