Ready to Enrol?

One of the most common complaints we hear from students who have started their course with another Registered Training Organisation (and then come to us after cancelling with the other RTO), is that they don’t receive the support they need in order to complete their home studies. When you are completing any kind of qualification, but in particular, certificate levels 4 and above, it is imperative that you have the support, guidance, and mentoring that you need, in order to assist you with completing the distance learning component of your course. Regardless of your discipline to commit to self-paced home studies, or your experience within the sector you are studying – you are, after-all, usually learning at least some new skill or knowledge base, or may simply need some guidance with navigating the course materials. The TAE40116 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment, is no exception. It is an intensive,…

This is why the government recognises the vital role of people working in this industry for the protection of property, community safety, companies, and even private citizens.   For different forms of protection, the Queensland private security industry employs around 12,000 licenced security personnel. The roles of these security personnel include corporate security, bodyguarding, cash in transit, crowd control, and guarding and patrolling private property.   To employ the best personnel in these roles, the Queensland government has set high standards for training along with the requirement that all security personnel be licenced. Choosing the right career is no longer limited to finding out what good skills one has or what one is passionate about. It could also mean choosing between taking up a four-year tertiary course or taking vocational training.   The second factor is generally affected by a person’s financial capacity. Often, with the rising costs of traditional academic courses mounting annually, one may decide to find something suitable in Australia’s VET or Vocational Education and Training sector. Of course, there are cases wherein a person’s passion or skills may fall outside established academe.   What the VET Sector Covers According to the Parliament of Australia’s guide on the vocational and training sector, in 2017 alone, some 4.2 million students were enrolled in VET with an Australian training provider. This number represented almost a quarter of the Australian population aged 15-64 years. In comparison, there were 1.5 million higher education students…

The TAE40110 course, known previously as the standard training for the Certificate IV in Training and Assessment, was superseded by the TAE40116 in 2016. What does this mean for TAE40110 certificate holders currently working in the Vocational Education and Training (VET) industry?   What this means is that TAE40110 holders must enrol in the TAE40116 upgrade course and complete their new training to continue working in the VET sector. There is a deadline set, too; the first deadline (April 1, 2019) was moved to a later date (July 1, 2019) to account for the volume of trainers and assessors who require the TAE40116 upgrade.   Are there requirements for the TAE40116?   There are a few. For starters, the TAE40116 upgrade is only available to trainers and assessors who currently hold the TAE40110 certificate. Those who hold other certifications will need to take the full TAE40116 course training by July…
